This is a list of the incoming videogame related movies for 2009-2010 Some are still in pre production while others are in the works and have released movie posters.

Mortal Kombat

The Mortal Kombat movies had been awesome when I was young. From the rumor bin Christopher Lambert will come back to play as Raiden! Booyah! Here’s to the showing of new characters and please a sexy new Sonya Blade : ))

Dragonball

Chow Young Fat will play as Master Roshi the perverted geezer : )) For more info check GameOPS.

Spy Hunter

Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock will play the main role of Alec Sects, the secret agent behind the wheel of the gadget laden metamorphing vehicle Interceptor.

Tekken

The popular fight game comes to the movies. The only confirmed actor is Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa of the Heroes series. He will play as Heihachi Mishima.

The movie plot revolves around the first Tekken tournament.

Fear Effect

This movie was supposed to be directed by Uwe Boll (gasp!) but he has been changed by Stanley Tong (loud clapping in background). The film has been written by Mark Altman who wrote the House of the dead series (gasp! gasp!)
The only bright side to looking forward to this movie is Hana (Insert gratuitous fan service here)

Halo

This one is being produced by Peter Jackson. No words yet since some of the people involved are saying it won’t materialize. Peter Jackson has confirmed it though.

Prince of Persia

The Prince of Persia movie will focus on the Sands of Time story line. The prince will be played by Tom Cruise (just kidding) the prince will really be played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Ben Kingsley will play the villian.

World of Warcraft

There are lots of rumors regarding the World of Warcraft movies. Slated on 2011 rumors has it that there will 2 movies a Warcraft movie and a World of Warcraft movie. The buzz is that the WOW movies will do what LOTR movies achieved. (crosses fingers)

Metal Gear Solid

6 magic words! Hideo Kojima will write the script.

Clock Tower

Earlier featured it seems Milla Jovovich has been changed to Britany Snow as the leading character.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

It will be released on February 27, 2009. The fill will star Kristen Kreuk as Chun Li. For more info check GameOPS here and here.

King of Fighters

My favorite fighting game will also become a movie. Confirmed actos are Maggie Q, Sean Faris, Will Yun Lee and Ray Park.

Joust

Yes! You’ve read it right Joust! The game with ostrich jumping around bopping each other. According to rumors the movie is a mix of Mad Max and Gladiator in a futuristic setting? (eh?)

Sabotage 1943

You’ve been waiting for it. An Uwe Boll movie! (gasp! gasp! gasp!) The movie is about a British spy during World War II. The movie will act as an introduction before the actual game is released. And here I thought Uwe Boll was done making movies. Proves you can’t put a good man down. (sarcasm)

Resident Evil 4

If you thought Resident Evil: Extinction was the last Resident Evil movie your dead wrong. There will be a new Resident Evil movie starred by none other than Milla Jovovich.

God of War

Pre-production stage. No Kratos yet as to date but please not Vin Diesel : )) being bald has its advantages. The film will be directed by Brett Ratner the director of the last X-Men movie. (aw crud)

Whoops just got updated Djimon Hounsou, who was Gladiator and Blood Diamonds will be playing Kratos. Wait a minute isn’t Kratos supposed to be Greek?

Gears of War

Pre-production stage. I’ll keep you posted.
