40. Kon (135 votes) Although Kon is cute and acts as a comedic foil to the series he didn’t get much votes (hehe). Kon is the teddy bear with a perverted nature who loves girls with big breasts namely Orihime and Rangiku although he also finds Rukia adorable.

Why is he popular? He’s not ) but a whole line of Bleach products is riding on him.

10. Ulquiorra Schiffer (3751 votes) The 4th Espada. Ulquiorra does not smile, he fights with his hands on his pockets, and he makes sure that all of Aizen’s orders are accomplished. Considered as one of the most powerful Espada he has a habit of over analyzing his opponents and stabbing them in the chest.

Why is he popular? It must be the casual dull, bored, arrogant attitude. Also taken into consideration are his big eyes.

9. Kira Izuru (3852 votes) Kira is the lieutenant of the 3rd division. He has a constant depressed, dull, and pessimistic attitude. His redeeming qualities are his loyalty to both his squad and his friends.

Why is he popular? Due to his last fight with Makoto Kifune, which he beat single handedly. Also taken into consideration is his current story line with 1st division captain Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai.

8. Inoue Orihime (3975 votes) She started as a classmate of Ichigo and later became a part of his group due to her “reject fate” powers. She is constantly eating weird sweet stuff. She also seems to have a long running crush on Ichigo.

Why is she popular? She has a likeable attitude and became the heroine during the latest season. Her character is being explored as a potential love interest for Ichigo.

7 Kuchiki Byakuya (4010 votes) The 6th division captain. Another bad ass character who’s very proud and will go to any extent to protect his family and heritage. He seldom shows any emotion and due to being royalty is very arrogant.

Why is he popular? Arrogant and very powerful Byakuya’s Bankai is considered one of the most powerful and beautiful in Soul Society.

6 Hinamori Momo (4102 votes) The lieutenant of the 5th division. She is an upbeat and easy-going girl who is generally quite trusting, if not naive. After her captain Aizen betrayed her she went into shock for a long time.

Why is she popular? She recently recovered and joined the battle against the Arrancar. Fighting 3 Arrancars on her own and helping Matsumoto.

5 Ishida Uryuu (4710 votes) He is considered to be the last Quincy (A group of hollow hunting archers) He bears a grudge against most Soul Reapers even Ichigo but they eventually become friends later in the series. Uryuu’s characterization is somewhat like Ichigo who will devote himself to a cause or a person if he deems them being maltreated.

Why is he popular? He is easily irritated and usually a part of the comical parts of the episode.

4 Grimmjow Jeagerjaques (4987 votes) The 6th Espada. Disrespectful and always hungry for battle, Grimmjow is one of the few Arrancars who have a sense of honor. He rescued Inoue so that she could heal an almost dead Ichigo just to have a fair fight.

Also for a major part of the Arrancar story line Grimmjow had to fight with only 1 hand : )

Why is he popular? He’s a bad ass very much like Renji at the start of the series. He neglects orders and just finds ways to fight with Ichigo.

3 Kurusaki Ichigo (7829 votes) He is cynical but always willing to help other people. Ichigo learned at am early age that he can see spirits. These eventually lead to him becoming a substitute Shinigami.

Why is he popular? He’s the main character Although a bit of a pessimist Ichigo is quick to forget his own shortcomings for the sake of his friends.

2 Kuchiki Rukia (7895 votes) The sister of Byakuya. She was originally designed to become the lead character in Bleach. Kuchiki right from the start has been linked romantically to Ichigo but according to scribe Tite Kubo he doesn’t want to explore the romantic side of Bleach and instead focuses on the action.

Rukia is very likeable among Ichigo’s friends.

Why is she popular? More than anything else funny without trying to be Rukia is best known for her Chappy the rabbit drawings.

1 Hitsugaya Toushirou (8278 votes) Captain of the 10th division. Toushiro is the youngest captain to grace soul society. Many call him a genius for achieving his Bankai at such an early age.

Hitsuyaga is the only captain which usually helps Ichigo in times of need.

Why is he popular? He’s always serious making him a target for Matsumoto’s antics.
