I’d been waiting for this game since news first leaked out. Cryptic Studios was kind enough to provide pictures for the upcoming Star Trek Online. Will it be better than World of Warcraft and Warhammer? Definitelt no! but a lot of trekkies will still play this game )

To run down here’s what we know so far of Star Trek Online:

- Star Trek Online will be available for both console and PC formats!

- Every player will be a captain.

- Being captain doesn’t mean you have the baddest ship around you gotta earn the privilege of using Picard’s ship )

- You can pimp your ship O.o Customable ships!

- There will be two sides Klingon Empire and the Federation.

- There will be different paths to being a captain. You could be like Janeway (scientist), Worf (security/tactical officer), Beverly Crusher (Doctor), or Picard (archeologist and diplomat). Your career path is your root, and will affect your skills, and how you command your crew.

- Like any online game there will be cooperative missions.

- Like any online game there will be economy.

- There will also be faction vs faction fights! This will act as PvP.

- The game takes place approximately 30 years after the events in Star Trek Nemesis.

- You can play as Human, Vulcan, Andorian, Klingon, Orion, Gorn, and several others. What no Borg? )

- There will be transwarp conduit technology and worm holes to allow players to travel to distant sectors of the galaxy without needing days or weeks of gameplay to do so.

That’s it. No word yet as to when it will be released but all signs point to a wonderful online gaming experience!
